Aim and Scope

The Dijlah Journal of Medical Sciences (DJMS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Dijlah University (DU), dedicated to publishing high-quality research that advances all aspects of medical sciences and techniques. Serving as a scientific medium for researchers worldwide, the journal places particular emphasis on original clinical studies, basic science investigations, and analyses of prevalent diseases and regional health challenges. We welcome manuscript submissions in the form of original articles, review articles, case reports, and letters to the editor.

DJMS Journal Scope

The Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts without external review if they are deemed outside the journal’s scope. All submissions that proceed to review are subject to a double-anonymized peer-review process. Manuscripts may be submitted electronically throughout the year for regular issues. The journal welcomes contributions across a broad range of topics within the field of Medical Sciences and Techniques, including (but not limited to) the following areas:

The Basic medical sciences include Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histology, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Physics, Embryology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Parasitology, and Medical Chemistry.
The Clinical medical sciences include Pediatrics, Urology, Hematology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, General Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neurology, Psychiatry, Nephrology, Dermatology, Community Medicine, Medical Education, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Radiology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), and Pediatric Surgery.

By publishing a diverse array of original research, case reports, and review articles, the journal seeks to facilitate the effective exchange of valuable knowledge and, in doing so, actively contribute to the continued advancement of medical practice and patient care.
