Abstract

Population and economic growth in Karbala Governorate have significantly impacted various sectors, including tourism, scientific development, and politics. This growth has also led to an increased demand for electrical energy. Since 2003, challenges in power generation in Iraq have intensified due to continuous load growth, resulting in frequent daily power outages.

As agricultural, industrial, and residential expansions continue, reliance on solar energy sources has increased. In this study, a solar energy system installed to operate an agricultural motor at Fadak Farm in Karbala was investigated. A fuzzy logic control approach based on the Mamdani method was applied to enhance system performance and detect faults within a short time through continuous monitoring.

The results demonstrated significant economic benefits by increasing electrical power production from the system and reducing overall financial costs.
